They tell themselves as a barbecue / Smoked Meats restaurant. My son ordered the ribs which were undercooked and therefore quite tough. To the staff credit they replaced them with another half slab but those were also undercooked and tough. Based on the extremely high reviews that Ovation has I'm going to credit this to an off night. First time here. Food was amazing. Alot of food options. Ambience was great. Oldies music playing. Lights low. Not too loud. We had the bbq pork nachos. My husband had the ribs. I had the ribeye steak. Delicious! Had to take some food home. Big portions. Less

My wife, parents, and I stopped in during happy hour (can’t beat the 2-for-1 specials), and the entire experience was top-notch from start to finish. The atmosphere was lively, and we immediately felt welcomed by the friendly staff.Our server was outstanding—attentive, upbeat, and made sure we had everything we needed. The manager even stopped by to check in, which was a great personal touch and shows how much they care about their guests. This was one of the best meals we’ve ever had.Brussel sprouts appetizer was perfect. Looks like a small portion, but it was perfect for two.We had the sirloin and shrimp which was cooked to perfection, amazing flavor, juicy, and the blue cheese topping was the right add on. Shrimp are full size they don’t skimp. We also had the ribs and brisket. Great flavor their homemade bbq sauce was great on both.
